A position is available immediately in the Department of Neuroscience and Cell Biology of the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. The researcher will participate in an exciting project to determine the contribution of neuron-glia interaction to the pathogenesis in neuropathic pain. We use integrated interdisciplinary approaches of mouse genetics, molecular biology, electrophysiology, behavioral testing, imaging, and single-cell analysis. The Department offers a rich and collaborative environment for pain research.
The candidates are expected to have a strong background in at least one of the following areas: molecular biology, developmental biology, electrophysiology (patch clamp), functional manipulation of neural circuits, bioinformatics, or imaging.
