Post Doctoral Researcher
Post Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Microbial Infection & Immunity to pursue specialized training and experience focusing on Bordetella immunology and vaccine design research; designs, conducts, and evaluates research experiments; analyzes and interprets data; performs scientific literature searches; participates in journal clubs, laboratory meetings, and Department seminars and activities; assists with training of other lab members; writes research papers for publication; presents research findings at local, national, or international scientific meetings; applies for postdoctoral fellowships; assists PI with writing and submitting grant proposals to obtain extramural funding in support of research.
MD, PhD, or MD/PhD required; a strong background in immunology and rodent handling is required; experience with molecular biology, microscopy, and cell biology is highly desired. Requires successful completion of a background check. Qualified candidates may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
