Faculty Member, Pathogen Associated Malignancies Integrated Research Center

The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center has created a new interdisciplinary initiative on Pathogen Associated Malignancies (PAM).

The PAM IRC invites applications to fill a laboratory-based faculty position with an individual conducting innovative research on biological mechanisms of pathogenesis, host immune responses, or development of vaccines or therapies with applications to pathogens associated cancers. Applicants from PhD, MD/PhD, or MD scientists will be considered at any rank. Specific areas of interest include, but are not limited to, Epstein Barr Virus and EBV related cancers, Hepatitis B or C viruses and liver cancer, as well as the role that specific microbes or the microbiome play in the etiology of cancers.

The successful candidate will enter a dynamic research environment with opportunities to collaborate with researchers across the diverse disciplines represented in the Fred Hutch Divisions of Human Biology, Basic Sciences, Clinical Research, Public Health Sciences, and Vaccine and Infectious Disease. Opportunities exist for an affiliate appointment at the University of Washington as well as participation in graduate student programs jointly administered by University of Washington and Fred Hutch. See our website for further information about the Fred Hutch (www.fredhutch.org) and the Pathogen Associated Malignancies Integrated Research Center (http://www.fredhutch.org/en/labs/pam-irc.html).

After creating your profile, you will be directed to provide: a curriculum vitae, a 2-3 page research plan, and the names of three references. We also request three recent publications: a URL to the journal article is the preferred method, which can be captured on the second profile page, or you can use the additional attachment section on the first page of your profile for PDFs.

The applicant review process begins as applications arrive and any application received by November 30th, 2017, will be guaranteed consideration for the position.
