The program aims to analyze the medieval society in specific sample areas (the Mugello between Ubaldini and Florentine Terrenuove, the Aldobrandeschi's Amiata , the Crusader-Ayyubid Trans-Jordanian, the valley of Vaiotz Dzor in Armenia) through the material dimension of its historical structures . The analysis will highlight specific choices of territorial organization and management of its resources, in accordance with the light archeology approach on a territorial basis, with particular attention to the analysis of production archeology (caught in the raw material extraction phase) and of the exploitation of environmental resources. This phase will include a program of Public Archeology, aimed at identifying (for the same sample areas) the characteristics of communities, connected with the concepts of identity and resilience, with the elaboration of new proposals.
