The program aims to investigate the link between two fundamental constitutional principles: freedom of

science (art. 33 Cost.) and freedom of care (art. 32 Cost.), also studying the connection that links or

contrasts scientific rationality and subjectivity of the sick person. Taking inspiration from some of the latest

affairs occurred in ltaly and reconstructing the most recent and relevant parliamentary debates and

parliamentary proceedings, the purpose is to identify a "constitutional statute" of the right to research and to

reconstruct its essential content in relation to the freedom of care, as well as to reconstruct the set of powers

that has to implementat the "constitutional statute" of the right to research in its connection with the right to

health.
