Associate Professors at Institute for Molecular Science (IMS)

The Department of the Photo-Molecular Science and the Department of the Materials Molecular Science are recruiting Associate Professors for the academic year of 2018 starting from April 1, 2018. These are full-time and permanent positions.

Targeted Areas:

Photo-Molecular Science; Experimental research on the origins of the properties and dynamics of atoms, molecules, and their ensembles, nanomaterials systems, or biomolecular systems by using highly controlled optical methods.

Material Molecular Science; Experimental researches in materials molecular science on (i) synthesis and fabrication of novel molecules and material systems or (ii) exploitation of novel observation methods, toward developments of new properties and innovative functions of molecules and materials.

The successful candidates are expected to serve as a principal investigator of a research group with the support of competitive start-up funds and spaces that these positions offer. They are also expected to commit to teaching and supervising graduate students as a faculty of SOKENDAI (The Graduate University for Advanced Studies).
