The project consists of three phases. In the first phase we will develop a method to predict the impact of single point mutations on protein stability. This will be carried out starting from previously developed programs, such as INPS and Pro-Maya, then a third new program, based on machine-learning models, will be developed in order to exploit evolutionary information based on the ConSeq program. In the second part of the project, we will develop a method for the prediction of protein interaction sites starting from a single chain. Finally, a dataset of protein mutations related to metabolic diseases will be created to specifically test all the developed methods.
