New approach and study of effectiveness of the Connect programme for parents of teenage children
CONNECT is one of the most accredited evidence-based interventions that can indirectly affect the well-being of teenagers through a specific intervention addressed to parents.
Objectives of the study: 1) longitudinally evaluate the effects of intervention on reducing psychological malaise and increasing the psychological well-being of parents by monitoring a set of shared indicators (pre and post intervention); 2) evaluate the effects of intervention on a set of target indicators in children (pre and post intervention).
It is expected to find significant reductions in the outsourcing and internalizing symptoms of adolescents, an increase in parental satisfaction, and ultimately reduction of stress, depression and caregiver impotence at the end of intervention and follow-up.
