The Department of Physiology and Biophysics at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) College of Medicine is seeking outstanding candidates for tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate or full Professor levels. We seek candidates whose research has demonstrated excellence and who exhibit an interdisciplinary approach to the study of integrative physiology/pathophysiology on platforms ranging from molecular to organismal. While candidates across a broad range of areas will be considered, we especially seek and encourage candidates with a record of innovative and collaborative research in heart and vascular biology, cell biology, systems biology and signal transduction to apply. Job Requirements

Applicants must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D., postdoctoral experience, a strong publication record and potential for extramural funding at the Assistant Professor level or significant current extramural funding at the Associate or full Professor levels. The successful candidates will be expected to establish and maintain an extramurally funded research program, and participate in teaching at the graduate and professional health sciences levels. Highly competitive salary and start-up packages are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
