The Department of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics and the School of Nursing at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, LA is seeking dynamic candidates to fill a non-tenure track educator faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated record of scholarship and excellence in nursing, medical and/or graduate education. The primary appointment for this position will be in the School of Nursing with a secondary appointment in the Department of Pharmacology. The successful candidate will reside in the Department of Pharmacology.

The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for instruction and course administration in the undergraduate and graduate nursing pharmacology courses offered by the department. These duties will be performed in collaboration with other teaching faculty in the department.  Additionally, the successful candidate is expected to take a leadership role in curriculum development and innovation, and will serve as the departmental liaison to curricular, student and administrative groups within the School of Nursing. Additional duties will include contributions to institutional, departmental governance and service.  Opportunities will also be available for educational scholarship and research.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to those with experience in teaching medical pharmacology and course administration.
