Junior Group Leaders - Tenure Track

Positions are available for outstanding scientists from any research field that addresses fundamental biological questions.

MFPL is also interested in recruiting scientists, who work at the interface of medicine and biology. This includes the modelling of complex diseases in simple organisms, the bottom-up reconstitution of disease-relevant processes and quantitative and synthetic approaches to medicine using advanced technologies.

These tenure track positions are offered initially for six years with the possibility of tenure, based on a performance-focused evaluation according to international standards. These positions include internationally competitive salaries and start-up packages.

Vienna is a vibrant multicultural capital, repeatedly ranked among the top three cities worldwide for its quality of living. Child care facilities are available at the VBC. MFPL wishes to increase its share of female group leaders and applications from couples are also encouraged. The working language of the MFPL and VBC is English.

Application procedure:

Applications should include a CV, a description of research achievements and future research plans, and the contact details for three referees. Please briefly describe the significance of your most important work in your publication list.

Please e-mail your application (preferably as single PDF) to the scientific director: lbs@mfpl.ac.at, c/o Arndt von Haeseler. To be assured of consideration, applications should be submitted by November 5th, 2017.
