Assistant/Associate Professor in Bioengineering or Neuroscience

The Whitney Laboratory for Marine Bioscience, an interdisciplinary marine research center of the University of Florida, seeks to fill a tenure-track, full-time research faculty position in Bioengineering or Neuroscience at the assistant/associate professor level. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a competitive, extramurally-funded research program that incorporates experimental, engineering and/or computational approaches to investigate mechanisms of behavior at any level of biological organization using marine organisms as animal models. Areas of expertise may include, but are not limited to:  biomechanics, neuroscience, movement ecology, fluid dynamics and physiology. The Whitney Laboratory currently has research strength in marine genomics, neuroscience, biomechanics, evolution, regeneration, development and wetlands restoration.
