The University of Maryland, Baltimore is recruiting for a full time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Research in the Department of Surgery, Division of Cardiac Surgery and in the Program of Cardiovascular and Inflammatory Disease. Qualified candidates must have a PhD and/or MD degree and an interest in using animal models to unravel basic and clinical aspects of cardiovascular biology, including organ-associated endothelial and cardiomyocyte regeneration. The successful candidate should have demonstrated success in original research, and is expected to develop and maintain a robust extramurally funded research program. This is an outstanding opportunity in an expanding and highly collaborative multidisciplinary research environment.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The search will be ongoing until a suitable candidate is identified. The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled.
