Pgp and BCRP expression in mammary carcinoma cell lines of the female dog
Chemioresistance is a very common phenomenon in oncology. From our preliminary results in inflammatory carcinoma of the mammary gland of the dog obtained from the comparison of the primary tumour, its cell line and the solid tumour originating in the mouse model, there is a negative modulation, which reduces the importance of the data obtained from the mouse model in translational medicine. The aim of the project will be to evaluate the immunohistochemical expression of Pgp and BRCP in pellets obtained from cell lines of mammary carcinoma of the female dog (Lilly, Chicca, CTB, Mioep, CYP p, CYP m, U27, CTB, kindly provided by Dr. De Maria of Turin University), in order to compare the similarities or differences in expression between the primary tumour and cell line, and to obtain data to be used in the future for comparison with their respective solid tumours.
