The goal of this research, performed in the context of EIT project CAB - Connected Products Analytics for Brands - is to design, develop and evaluate a decision support system for connected product manufacturers, to support (re)design and branding process, using data extracted from sensors embedded in connected products, data mining and machine learning techniques for behavioral pattern extraction, and mixed (content-based, collaborative, and knowledge based) recommendation algorithms.
