Experimental and numerical models of damage of trabecular materials
The aim of the research consists in studying the behavior of trabecular materials subjected to variable loadings to define models able to predict their damage evolution. The research is mainly addressed to the problems related to embrittlement and fracture of vertebrae bones. It consists in two parts, the first one is related to experimental testing to find the mechanical behavior and damage types of these materials. The second one is related to the numerical development of a damage model.
