The substitution of AC distribution networks with DC distribution networks in naval applications is a very interesting and actual problem. The use of DC networks gives many advantages in terms of power quality, efficiency and simple connection of electrical drives. Moreover, also the integration of storage systems becomes easier.
In such a network many power converters are present and connected on the same DC bus. The interaction of these converters is the main topic of this research. In particular, opportune strategies for an optimized energy management will be deeply analyzed. The most suitable topologies and both centralized and decentralized control strategies for the different converters will be carried out.
