The Biology Department at Stonehill College invites applicants for an assistant professor, term renewable appointment in Biology to begin July 2018.   This person would join a department of twelve full-time faculty with a wide range of disciplinary expertise and a commitment to fostering diversity among faculty and students.

We seek enthusiastic applicants who are committed to excellence in teaching, advising, and mentoring undergraduates and who have a demonstrated awareness of the importance of diversity in education.  Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in biology (or related discipline) and have undergraduate teaching experience.  We are particularly interested in candidates who have expertise in microbiology and health sciences. This position is a 9-month, term renewable position at the rank of Assistant Professor with expectations for instruction, academic advising and service.  Primary teaching duties include teaching lectures and laboratories in microbiology, human anatomy & physiology, and other introductory courses as needed. The initial appointment is for three years with the possibility of renewal.
