Assistant Professor of Biology
Assistant Professor of Biology. The University of South Carolina Sumter is seeking a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor to teach both face-to-face and online classes, to begin August 2018. An earned doctorate in Biology with graduate credits and/or experience in Anatomy and Physiology.
The successful candidate will have experience teaching Anatomy & Physiology I/II lecture and laboratory courses. A strong commitment to undergraduate teaching of both day and evening classes, and the ability to maintain a healthy level of professional activity in scholarship and service are required. The teaching load is twelve contact hours per semester, with the opportunity for release time for scholarship. Student advising and participation on campus committees are expected. USC Sumter is part of USC’s Palmetto College (http://www.sc.edu/palmettocollege/), which involves offering four-year degrees through multiple forms of course delivery and learning, such as two-way video delivery (videoconferencing) and online learning (Blackboard or similar course management system).
