SUM seeks a candidate with relevant competence related to critical social science research on the social, cultural and political factors shaping people's health, health systems, health policy and governance.

Candidates with documented experience relating to medical anthropology, development studies or political science, and are engaging with public health research and practice, are encouraged to apply. The person appointed should have a good publication record, documented experience from project management, teaching, and supervision and be able to undertake administrative duties in accordance to current provisions.

Experience with organising and obtaining financing for interdisciplinary research groups will be emphasised, as well as active participation in international academic forums and the ability to cooperate with institutions abroad.
