Full Professor of Quantitative Systems Pharmacology
The research in the Systems Biomedicine & Pharmacology division builds on a strong history in pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic (PK-PD) computational modelling, and more recently, quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP). This research line aims to further on developing innovative QSP approaches.
To that end, a position is available for a full professor in Systems Pharmacology, to maintain and further develop the research profile and reputation of this research at LACDR in that direction, together with the fellow principle investigators.
Current research lines at the Cluster of Systems Pharmacology includes the following research themes:
Translational pharmacology; primary focus on experimental and model-based approaches the CNS therapeutic area;
Clinical pharmacology; model-based dose regimen optimization in special patient populations;
Quantitative Systems Pharmacology; QSP approaches in drug development (oncology, infectious diseases, cardiac safety);
Translational metabolomics; metabolomics in patients and patient-derived in-vitro models (organ-on-a-chip) to study disease mechanisms and pharmacology;
Systems biophysics; novel biophysics concepts to study immunology and metabolism.
