Postdoctoral Researcher on CMOS Microwave Wideband Transceiver for Sensing Applications

Currently we are looking for a motivated Postdoctoral Researcher on CMOS microwave wideband transceiver for sensing applications.
Wideband microwave transceivers are widely used in various sensing applications, e.g. vital sign detection, cancer detection or imaging. The microwave transceiver that can operate over a very wide frequency range is one of the most critical parts of such systems. In addition, standard CMOS technologies are used to reduce the cost of manufacturing and system integration. However, the lossy substrate in CMOS process makes the wideband design even more challenging. In this project, a CMOS microwave transceiver covering a frequency range of approximately 5-40GHz will be developed. This wideband microwave transceiver will also be tested in the real applications.
Your main tasks will be to:
- Architect and implement microwave (5-40GHz) wideband transceiver SoCs for sensing applications including innovative methods and circuits.
- Design state-of-the-art innovative circuits as part of a microwave wideband wireless system.
- Together with the team, create new ideas and/or new technical methods based on your solid technical experience.
