The College of Optical Sciences at the University of Arizona invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor appointment in Optical Physics effective August 2018. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and in establishing a world-class experimental research program. Associate and full professor appointments will also be considered for exceptional candidates. Areas of particular interest include, but are not limited to, quantum optics and quantum information science, high precision measurements of single- and many-body quantum systems, ultracold quantum gases, and ultrafast science. We encourage applications from candidates who will complement or strengthen current research in Optical Physics at the University of Arizona and benefit from the ties that exist between the College of Optical Sciences and the Departments of Physics, Chemistry, and Materials Science.
