GW4 BioMed MRC Doctoral Training Partnership PhD projects in the School of Psychology
The GW4 BioMed MRC Doctoral Training Partnership is awarding up to 19 studentships in 2018, aligned with the themes of Infection, Immunity and Repair; Neuroscience and Mental Health; and Population Health.
The GW4 BioMed MRC Doctoral Training Partnership places a strong emphasis on cross-cutting skills priorities (quantitative skills, interdisciplinary skills and in vivo skills), and may advertise projects outside these themes. We welcome applications from non-medical backgrounds and can fund additional training to assist discipline conversion.
Most studentships will be 3.5 years full-time or up to 7 years part-time, and can be longer where additional training is undertaken.
Projects are being advertised across the partnership in a range of disciplines. Projects available for entry 2018 within our School of Psychology:
- Exploring the emergence of psychotic experiences using multimodal neuroimaging and mathematical modelling
- Investigation of motor adaptation using translational neurophysiology
- Locating the absent self: characterising neurocognitive impairments of self-representation in autism spectrum disorder
