A*STAR now seeks an experienced leader to establish the new Experimental Biotherapeutics Centre (EBC), that will develop a pipeline of biologics drug candidates originating from Singapore’s public sector research. Drawing on the work of two complementary Centres at A*STAR – the Experimental Therapeutics Centre and Drug Development and Discovery – EBC will take on selected biologics development projects from both local and global academic research laboratories, and in collaboration with local and international industry partners. It aims to move these assets from discovery to clinic efficiently, optimising IP generation and eventually to impact patient outcomes.

Reporting to the Chairman of A*STAR and to the EBC Governing Board, the CEO will coordinate with the Executive Director of the Biomedical Research Council (BMRC) on matters related to the management of EBC. S/he will have significant industry experience with a proven track record of delivering drugs into the clinic. S/he will ideally have experience of executive leadership, and will possess significant domain expertise in biologics.
