The research will be carried out within the project "PRIN 2015 - Past-In-Use. Landscape and intangible values. Sustainable uses of historical cultural identity European Landscapes.
The aim is to analyze remote sensing data from optical and laser scanning sensors mounted on airplanes or UAV to characterize forest landscapes along the Tuscan coast, with special reference to coastal pine forests. The work program consists of: bibliographic review of the research issues; acquisition of existing (available) remote sensing data, possibly integrated with new acquisitions from UAV; pre-processing of remote sensing data; analysis of remote sensing data to characterize coastal pine forests structure and their landscapes; drafting a paper with the results of the research; final report.
