In diffusive media, photons undergo a very large number of elastic scattering events and few anelastic scattering events. Using ultrashort laser pulses, spectral selectors and specific physical-mathematical models, it is possible to select photons that have undergone analeastic scattering and locate the source of the interaction in probabilistic terms. The research activity consists in employing the principles described to develop new Raman Spectroscopy methods for diffusive media.
