The research will focus on the characterization of carbon-based materials. The experimental activity will be preceded by a bibliographic research on the most recent characterization techniques on carbon nanotubes allotropes such as graphite, nano graphites, graphenes and carbon nanotubes. The second phase of the work involves the characterization of the above mentioned materials through a combined analysis approach with the following techniques: 1) image techniques; 2) electron diffraction analysis; 3) spectroscopic techniques. At last the analysis of the obtained data will be performed by dedicated software with the purpose of determining morphology, dimensions, structural parameters and possible defects in nanostructures.
