SUPERVISION AND CONTROL OF PRODUCTION SYSTEMS AND AUTOMATED PROCESSES
The aim of this research is the supervision and optimization of performance of production plants. Simulation and advanced control techniques will be adopted, like model predictive control techniques. Some examples of typical applications that the researcher will take into account are: highly automated discrete production systems (activity aimed at the increase of the system efficiency, using simulation instruments, discrete event systems, control and optimization techniques), as well as management and control of energy for final uses.
