Wolf B. Frommer’s team at the Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding in cologne is looking for a
coordinator (m/f) for a project that aims at defeating rice blight supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
The coordinator (m/w) (in collaboration with the PI) will be responsible for coordination with an international team of academic and industry partners, survey the IP landscape, help in obtaining FTO and develop outreach strategies. The candidate (m/f) must have outstanding social skills, be a leader and team player, have a PhD or doctoral degree in natural sciences and must be able to present the scientific topics to both scientific and lay audiences. Excellent English and writing skills are a must.
The candidate (m/f) must be highly motivated and have extensive experience in plant cell tissue culture and molecular biology, experimental planning, and data interpretation. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as a team member are essential.
The pay scale grouping will be, depending on the personal qualification of the applicant (m/f), up to pay grade 15 TV-L.
