The newly established Gale and Ira Drukier Institute for Children’s Health at Weill Cornell Medicine (WCM) seeks to hire outstanding investigators to fill tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor levels.
The mission of the Drukier institute is to accelerate discovery from the bedside to the bench and back, with the ultimate goal of improving children’s health. Members of the Institute conduct novel basic and translational research and participate in training and educational programs across the Department of Pediatrics and other Centers and Departments at WCM, leading to improved understanding, prevention and treatment of pediatric inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.
We invite applications from exceptional individuals with research interests and experience relevant to the Institute’s mission. We welcome candidates interested in addressing how the immune system develops in the first years of life and the basis of inflammatory and immune- mediated diseases that begin in childhood including, but not limited to, diabetes, obesity, allergy and asthma. New faculty will lead cutting-edge research programs among a collaborative and diverse group of biomedical researchers within WCM and across neighboring institutions. We aspire to position the Drukier Institute and its faculty as national and international leaders by offering modern laboratory space, excellent infrastructure and generous financial support.
Candidates must hold a PhD, MD or MD/PhD and relevant postdoctoral training, with an exceptional record of research accomplishment, and the ability to develop a competitive, independently funded research program. Applicants should submit a single PDF containing a full academic CV and a statement of research interests to Dr. Virginia Pascual, Director of the Gale and Ira Drukier Institute for Children’s Health, at DrukierAdmin@med.cornell.edu. The first round of applicant review will begin in September, 2017.
