Membrane Protein Structural Biologist

The Department of Physiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant, Associate, and/or Full Professor position in the tenure track. Responsibilities include conducting an independent research program, plus teaching, supervising, and mentoring students. Applicants must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D., or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research. The successful candidate will have experience in the structural biology of membrane proteins, preferably ion channels or other membrane transport proteins. Applicants at the Associate and Full Professor levels are expected to have funding and an internationally recognized history of research excellence and productivity. Highly competitive lab space and start-up funds are available. The Perelman School of Medicine, one of the top ranked medical schools in the country for research and NIH funding, is a highly collaborative environment with strong core facilities.
