The Department of Biological Structure in the School of Medicine at the University of Washington invites applications for two full time tenure track positions at the level of Assistant Professor. With the recent appointment of our new chair, we are excited to have the opportunity to expand and diversify our department’s faculty with these recruitments. We seek outstanding candidates to establish vigorous scientific programs in a multidisciplinary community of interactive researchers in the following areas of emphasis in Neuroscience: (1) Genes, circuits & behavior, including the use of in vitro or in vivo structural and functional imaging, and connectomics approaches; (2) Neural plasticity, regeneration and repair. Candidates with an interest in development and diseases of the nervous system in vertebrate models are particularly encouraged to apply. A Ph.D. (in a related field), M.D., or foreign equivalent is required. Establishment of extramural funding and participation in departmental educational programs in the Health Sciences is expected.
