in Molecular and Integrative Biology of Heart and Muscle
Dr. Joseph M. Metzger, in The Department of Integrative Biology and Physiology (IBP) at the University of Minnesota Medical School, is seeking outstanding candidates with an Ph.D. and/or M.D. for research projects in molecular and integrative cardiology and muscle biology, including cardiac muscle sarcomere and cytoskeleton structure-function, E-C coupling, experimental gene and cell-based therapy and chemical-based molecular band-aids. Studies are directed toward acquired and inherited diseases, including heart failure, ischemia and muscular dystrophy.
