The new Irish Centre for Vascular Biology (ICVB) within RCSI comprises an integrated network of research groups across Irish hospitals and universities (in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland) that are actively engaged in the field of vascular research. The mission of the ICVB is to harness and combine the expertise of these individual groups, thereby establishing a single national Irish centre of excellence in vascular biology research that will be recognised at international level.


Position Description


This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join the Irish Centre for Vascular Biology laboratory of Professor O'Donnell. His research group is located in the newly refurbished, state-of-the-art laboratory space within the Department of Molecular and Cellular Therapeutics. We seek an outstanding postdoctoral researcher to join the team. The successful applicant will work in Prof. O'Donnell's research group and will utilize state-of-the-art in vitro and in vivo approaches to investigate the role of Von Willebrand factor in the development of cardiovascular disease. This position is initially funded for 1 year.
