One vacant position for a full-time scientific project researcher at the Chair of Injection Moulding of Polymers at the earliest possible date in a fixed-term 2 year employment with the possibility of an eventual temporary extension. Salary group B1 Uni-KV, monthly minimum excl. special payment € 2.731,0 for 40 hours per week (14 times a year), actual classification is creditable activity specific prior experience).
Master's degree in Polymer Engineering and Science at Montanuniversitaet Leoben or a comparable study in Plastics Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or Process Engineering at a technical university, university of applied sciences or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering having in minimum 3 years professional practice in the field of plastics processing.
Operational project management and coordination of activities between four research groups and more than 16 companies; management of more than 10 use cases in the companies for transferring research results to practical applications; performing injection moulding experiments and material tests; preparing presentations; reporting. Language for coordination and project management activities is German.
Experience in project management, experience in handling injection moulding machines and testing devices for material data measurement of thermoplastics, excellent knowledge in data processing, fluent written and spoken English.
Knowledge in injection moulding simulation and experience in the management of co-operational research with company partners is advantageous.
Self-initiative and sense of responsibility, ability to work independently, communication skills and team spirit, project management skills, cooperation in administration, research and third party funded projects.
