Project Researcher, Vaasa Energy Business Innovation Centre (VEBIC)
We are looking for a project researcher for building our portfolio of research at the Vaasa Energy Business Innovation Centre (VEBIC). This is a fixed-term position, for 1 - 2 years, starting 1.10.2017 or as agreed. There is a four month probationary period.

The main areas of this position include:
- Help the director in building new project proposals
- Conduct thorough literature survey on new research and development topics in energy technology and energy business
- Preparing reports, presentations, memos and briefs, as well as, proofreading
- Writing research proposals, identifying relevant calls, following deadlines and targets
- Help in identifying internal and external project partners
In order to successfully perform the tasks, you should have a higher education degree (ideally a post-graduate degree) and strong passion for energy technology and/or energy business research and development. Earlier experience in writing proposals or scientific articles in journals or popular magazines is of great value. You are a team-player with the ability to build relationships with staff and other stakeholders.
The administrative language of the University of Vaasa is Finnish. Candidates are required to have the language skills required for carrying out the duties of the position. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English is a must.
Section 1 of the Finnish Government Decree on Universities (707/2009) requires personnel recruited to fill teaching and research positions to be proficient in Finnish. However, if the candidate is a foreigner or a Finnish citizen who is not a native or has not been educated in Finnish, they may be granted an exemption from the Finnish language proficiency requirement.
The salary is based on demand level 2 - 5 of the universities' salary system for teaching and research staff. An additional personal salary component is paid based on work performance (4-46,3%).
