Primary epithelial tumor cells may acquire the capacity to invade and to metastasize in secondary sites by the activation of an Epithelial-to-Mesenchymal transition (EMT), This process is guided by few "master factors", in particular Snail. The project activity will be focused on developing of new ncRNA-mediated strategies to counteract Snail function in different epithelial tumor models.
