UCM Lecturer in Oral Academic Communication (f/m), 1,0 fte
The appointee will coordinate and further develop instruction in academic communication at the College, focusing on presentation skills, academic debate and discourse analysis. This will include organizing and teaching skills training courses in presentation skills, academic debate, and developing a course in discourse analysis. It also includes organizing workshops, meeting with students informally, and setting an example of excellence in oral academic communication. As a member of UCM's core staff, the appointee is expected to play an active role in the UCM academic community, to support relevant extracurricular activities, and carry out day-to-day academic tasks such as academic advising, admissions interviews, and supervising student research. The appointee must also be willing to tutor in UCM's core curriculum or in courses related to his or her area of expertise.
