We seek a highly motivated geoscientist that can broaden the section's capability in structural geology in subjects such as: (i) analysis of faults as seals or pathways to fluid flow, (ii) deformation mechanisms and time-dependent rheology changes in sedimentary rocks, (iii) fault mechanics and fault reactivation assessments, and (iv) geomechanical laboratory testing. The position is expected to contribute to research addressing subsurface CO2 storage sites in the North Sea basin(s), with key topics covering faults in reservoirs and overburden, hereunder mechanical characteristics of faults and fault rocks.
