Research Fellowship in Media Studies with specialization in Children, Youth and Media (ref no 201...
The research fellowship will be connected to the project EU Kids Online. EU Kids Online is a multinational research network. It seeks to enhance knowledge of European children's online opportunities, risks and safety. It uses multiple methods to map children's and parents' experience of the internet, in dialogue with national and European policy stakeholders. The project also cooperates extensively with researchers outside Europe. In 2017-2018 the project will collect data on children's online engagements across Europe, covering topics like online opportunities and risks, and how these connect individual, social and nation level factors. Risks studied in the project include but are not limited to cyberbullying, pornography and sexual exploitation, use of pro-anorexia and self-harm sites, radicalization, Internet of Things (IoT) and privacy issues, and excessive use.
