MODELLING AND CONTROL OF THE SPACE DEBRIS POPULATION AND SATELLITE CONSTELLATIONS
The evolution of space debris and large constellations will be studied and controlled: parallel programming methods, based on the density of orbital parameters and high-order expansion techniques, will be used to describe the population of space objects, collision risk calculation and the detection of orbit fragmentation.
Within end-of-life satellites disposal, manoeuvres enhanced by orbit perturbations will be used to design the end-of-life of Earth orbits and Libration Point Orbits. Orbital perturbations also have an effect on manoeuvring requirements to avoid collisions in orbit, formation flying, and proximity operation manoeuvres. Feedback control strategies based on orbital perturbations will be studied.
