The research activity will be focused on the study and quantification of bioactive molecules and contaminants in food,in food plants and nutraceuticals,through the application of advanced analytical methodologies based on an initial step of sample preparation and a second step of instrumental determination. In the first case, liquid-liquid extraction (LLE),solid-liquid extraction (SLE),solid phase extraction (SPE),solid phase microextraction (SPME) will be used. In the second step, the analytical determination will be carried out by using advanced chromatographic systems as high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) coupled with diode array detector (DAD),fluorescence detector (FD),mass spectrometry (MS),tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS);moreover,for the study of volatile molecules gas chromatography (GC) coupled with flame ionization detector (FID) and mass spectrometry detector (MSD) will be used
