Multiple Myeloma is a neoplastic disease characterized by proliferation of plasma cells.The treatment of MM includes new drugs (ImiDs, proteasome inhibitors, monoclonal Ab, check points inhibitors) that are able to target the tumor cells and the bone marrow environment. New drugs and combinations of approved drugs are being researched to provide more options for patients with MM; moreover they can be used in association with stem cell transplant.Some of these compounds need to be tested in clinical trials, in order to see their toxicity and efficacy; at Seràgnoli Institute many clinical trials are on-going, following good clinical practice rules.The aim of this research project is to give support in MM clinical trials with the following aims: to collect data in printed or electronic CRF, to prepare and send to Central Laboratories biological samples of enrolled patients, resolution of queries generated during management of clinical trials and support during monitoring visit onsite.
