The aim of the project is to prove how the technological innovation of LIFE GOAST, adapted to semi industrial scale process, would be more sustainable and have a lower environmental impact compared to the traditional tanning process by using the Chromium TCTP process. The technical feasibility and the social and economical impact of this project, will be monitored and compared to the TCTP project to demonstrate the reduction of the environmental impact gained with the technology of the project LIFE GOAST. The final purpose of this project is to obtain a leather with comparable or better quality than the one produced with the TCTP process, developed with lower environmental impact, with more economical advantages and without the need for additional procedures for the elimination of wastes.
