Osseointegration is also defined as: "the formation of a direct interface between an implant and bone, without intervening soft tissue". The Osseointegration has been proposed as an alternative technique to traditional prosthetic methods and microsurgical reconstruction techniques of segments following amputations and / or malformations. It is also applied to larger body areas, as the proposed fixing method improves prosthetic control and eliminates the need for invasion with enormous benefit for patients in terms of mobility and comfort. The osteointegrate system seems to be effective and efficient. the technologies improve each year, improving the quality of life of patients, ensuring better joint biomechanics and greater independence. Improving prosthetic technology means, therefore, improving the psycho-physical conditions of all those people who have been terribly disadvantaged since birth or from moment to moment.
