The huge flow of young and adult migrants has created the necessity to deepen the scientific implications for teaching Italian to illiterate or barely literate students. The scientific Italian literature on this topic is not so wide and it is fundamental to elaborate a research on the models for teaching to read and write in international studies, aimed also to the creation of didactic methods and techniques for facilitating the linguistic learning in remarkably heterogeneous contexts.
