The aim of the research, in the first step, is to build a quantitative framework on flows and stocks to interpret the territorialization processes of the immigrant population in Italy in recent decades, identifying - with multiscale analysis - spatial distribution models of the main migrant communities.

This cognitive framework will provide the basis for the investigation of inclusion/exclusion processes and the degree of co-evolutionary interaction with the host and stabilization territories. These topics will be then tackled through a qualitative approach, with the aim of highlighting the problems and critical nodes in order to address appropriate intervention policies.
