The Department of Biological Sciences is seeking to hire a qualified individual to fill a tenure-track assistant professor position beginning September 2018. We are interested in hiring a candidate who would contribute expertise in genetics or in animal physiology to the department. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in the biological sciences or a closely related field. Postdoctoral or other relevant research experience is expected. We are seeking candidates who utilize an integrative approach in their research programs. Examples of research areas include but are not limited to neurophysiology, biomechanics, evolutionary genomics, conservation genetics, population genetics, and disease ecology. Successful candidates are expected to develop an externally funded research program at Rowan. Successful candidates must also demonstrate the ability to contribute to teaching in the introductory core curriculum (a four course sequence in evolution, genetics, cell biology, and ecology) in addition to offering upper-level courses in their area of expertise.
