As a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in our group you will work closely with the Antibody Discovery / DNA Sequencing teams to explore the application of Next Generation Sequencing technologies in the area of drug discovery.

The successful candidate will be responsible for and expected to:
  • High-throughput sequencing of IgG repertoires as a means of optimizing current antibody discovery platforms.
  • Conception and enablement of a novel antibody discovery platform using a Next Generation Sequencing approach.
  • Review the literature, attend meetings and conferences and maintain an updated knowledge in the field. Apply state-of-the-art learnings to current research goals.
  • Be self-motivated and capable of solving complex problems while at the same time interacting productively with colleagues in a team environment.
  • Publish study results in peer-reviewed journal or patent filing

Ph.D. in Biological Sciences with relevant research experience and a record of publications Additional Skills/Preferences
  • Strong molecular biology skills preferred.
  • Strong technical, organization, documentation, and communication skills (verbal and written) are essential
  • Expertise in Next Generation Sequencing technologies, including sample preparation, equipment operation (Illumina systems), and data analysis is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in molecular biology techniques, particularly amplification of low copy number templates, synthesis and assembly of complex PCR products, as well as library preparation, and QC
  • Knowledge of B-cell biology and immune cell isolation is advantageous.
  • Bioinformatics expertise particularly in the area of sequence analysis of immunoglobulin genes is a plus
